I'm Dylan Hart, and RideFarGear started the way most of my trips do — with a plan that didn't survive contact with the road. I've been riding for five years, most of it on Honda's 500 adventure platform: I put the first miles on a CB500X and never really got off it, right up to the NX500 I ride now. It's not the flashiest bike in the lot, and that's kind of the point — I'd rather learn a machine deeply than chase the newest one. I ride it everywhere: multi-day tours with the panniers loaded, gravel and light off-road when the pavement runs out, and a few track days a year to keep my inputs honest. Along the way I've made every gear mistake there is. I've bought "waterproof" luggage that wasn't, frozen on a pass because I layered wrong, and rattled a GPS mount to death on a washboard road. RideFarGear is where I write down what I wish someone had told me first — tested, used, and honest about the trade-offs. No fluff, no gear I haven't actually run.
